Soft page breaks will be inserted as necessary; as soon as there is not enough whitespace left at the bottom of a page.
Occasionally you might want a page break to occur at a predefined position. Using <ctrl-Enter> (or the bar line menu) you can insert a hard page break.
The third kind of page-breaks are the conditional page-breaks.
