Lots of free music (folk music, classical music) have already been written using MusiCAD an are available in the MusiCAD music archive, so please check if someone else has done the job you are going to take upon yourself.

By the way, sharing your music this way has the additional advantage of having a backup of your music-labour just in case disaster strikes (computer crash, fire computer theft etc.)
