An ossia gives another - sometimes simpler, sometimes explaining or more elaborate -way of playing a music fragment.
In MusiCAD you can create ossia notation using the inline graphics backdoor.
Create the desired piece of music to be used as ossia, make a screen-copy and insert the resulting graphic inline using <ctrl-shift-Insert>
